Drink Enough Fluids (Water) Water is important for hydration, body temperature regulation, your skin and muscles. Drinking enough water will also help you with headaches and food cravings. Be prepared for the summer: take bottled water with you in your car, purse and picnic basket. Aim for 6-8 cups of water a day. Remember: Coffee, tea, soda, juice and alcoholic beverages are not a substitute for water.
