| Pilates Mat class is designed to introduce you to the 34 fundamental Pilates mat exercises. It is suitable for people of all fitness levels as the exercises are performed in the supine position allowing better alignment, muscle control, and precise execution of the movement. The Pilates method is unique as it targets primarily the muscles of the abdomen and lower back, promoting core stability, thus improving your overall well being and athletic performance. The class is taught by a certified Pilates Instructor, who draws much from her yoga background. The small class size enables individual attention to each and every client. |

The word “Yoga” comes from the Sanskrit word for “yoke”. The function of a yoke is to join, to connect. In yoga, we experience the union of body, mind and spirit. Yoga brings you the joy of reconnecting with your body and experiencing yourself in an accepting and loving way.
The wide range of yoga poses takes you on a journey that your body will love. You stretch your muscles, loosen stiff joints and gain strength through weight bearing poses. ANGELIKA STADEL
Angelika Stadel has been studying yoga since 1996 and earned her teaching certification in 2001. She is registered with the Yoga Alliance. Her teaching style strongly emphasizes correct alignment in the poses as it is taught in Anasura yoga. Her goal is to accompany her students in a supportive and encouraging way as they discover their abilities and strengths. Angelika teaches in various fitness facilities in the area and also works on a one-on-one basis for clients with special physical conditions.

T'ai Chi is a series of flowing movements first developed as a martial art, but now more widely practiced as a health exercise. It is performed in a calm way that boosts energy while easing tension. T'ai Chi is practical because it teaches relaxation while being active. Instead of sitting motionless, students learn to stay centered and interact with the world. This is very important for people with stressful lives who want to find ways to interact with the world in less harmful ways.
The form used in the class was developed by Professor Cheng Man-Ching in the 1940's and is known as the Yang Short Form, (37 postures). Professor Cheng came to the United States in 1965 and taught in NYC. His form is now taught around the country and the world. Ed Bilanchone has studied this form for 12 years.

BodyByGeoff teaches real American Boxing & Kickboxing for all skill levels.
We provide the gloves and punching shields and have hand wraps available for $5.
Boxing is a great aerobic workout. Most clients come out of the class completely drenched, tired, but overall exhilarated! Many say it was the best workout of their life.
Each class starts with a warm-up, which can include jump rope and footwork. The instructor then gives an overview and checks with each client for their level of expertise. The class then shadow boxes based on basic moves and alternates hitting the instructor, who is in full padding. The instructor will then have clients work in pairs hitting the heavy bag and alternating on the small bag. |

BodyByGeoff offers Spinning with LeMond Bikes on Mondays at 7pm.
Please let us know if you are interested in us adding a 7:30am Saturday class.
Our class room has great ventilation and we can open up the
floor-to-ceiling doors in the warmer weather and great sound system.
Our LeMond bikes off 2-way adjustable seats, adjustable handle bars, and pedals that can be used with clips or shoe straps. Spinning offers a exhilarating cardio-workout alternative as well as great cross-training for runners and tri-athletes. We provide the hand towels you will need. Spinning is included in your Ashburn membership or you can buy a class card. |

Summertime Conditioning for Teens |
Ashburn
Wednesdays at 7pm with Solomon
This is a low-impact class that is intensive but easy to follow. We will utilize resistance bands, stability balls and free weights to tone & sculpt. Focus is on muscular endurance and strength in both isolation and compound movements. Intensity is adjustable so all levels of fitness are welcome.

Whether you're looking to improve your speed, endurance, strength or agility, we have the skills and experience to help you achieve the results you want!

BodyBy Geoff believes in balanced training. Each athlete in taking part in the summertime conditioning program will receive training and education in the following areas:
Conditioning
We stress strong conditioning for all athletes. Regardless of your current level of agility or stamina, by the end of our program you will have and advantage over your peers.
Nutrition
A one-classroom setting where nutrition will be presented and discussed in regards to athletic performance and overall health.
Sport Specific Training
Due to small group sizes, athletes will be able to receive individual, sport-specific training for any type or level of competitive athletics. Each athlete will be trained in target areas of the body designed to maximize performance in his or her given sport.
Safety
With small groups of three athletes working together, BodyByGeoff guarantees no more than a 3:1 athlete to trainer ratio. Athletes will be supervised both in the weight room and while participating in outdoor activities.
Assessments
We will conduct periodic assessments of athletes' development. A weigh-in, body fat reading and measurements will be taken at the start of the program and every 30 days thereafter.

Performance Club works around your schedule. All sessions are by appointment only.

AbBusters--a flat stomach not only looks good, but studies show a flat stomach is essential for overall health. And, let's attack those problem areas--thighs, buttocks as well. Olena will incorporate exercises from several disciplines, including pilates and core conditioning. Come on and get on track for slimmer thighs, a flatter stomach, and firmer butt!
